The National Lighthouse Museum is on the Promenade at Lighthouse Point, off of Bay Street on Staten Island. This is a self-guided museum, where visitors can learn about the history of lighthouses in general, and about the lighthouses that used to be on Staten Island specifically. There are lectures and guided tours available.
From their website: “Located on the former site of the United States Lighthouse Service’s (USLHS) General Depot in St. George, Staten Island, the National Lighthouse Museum educates visitors about the history and technology of the nation’s lighthouses.”
Visit their event’s page for more information about upcoming events, or stop by for a visit and take a tour of the National Lighthouse Museum.
