Set out your fall leaves for composting
It’s that time of year again! After all the raking over the fall, it is now time to leave out the bags you collected for the Sanitation Department to pick up. They will make it into compost, which all New Yorkers can pick up for free in the spring.

NYC Department of Sanitation
The NYC Department of Sanitation is the world’s largest sanitation department. DSNY collects more than 10,500 tons of residential and institutional garbage and 1,760 tons of the recyclables – each day.
