Citizen Action Statement on the Signing of the Respect for Marriage Act
Albany, NY—In response to President Biden’s signing of the Respect for Marriage Act, Rosemary Rivera, Co-Executive Director of Citizen Action of New York, issued the following statement:
“Love is love. And we are thrilled that President Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act today, giving federal protections to LGBTQ and interracial marriages. This is an important day that brings us one step closer to full equality for all.”
