Below you can see video and photos from the rescue performed by the 123rd Precinct on Staten Island:

While the above video shows a rescue from 2019, this has been happening again and again since then.  Here you can see photos from May 5th of this year, on Staten Island, where several adorable black and yellow ducklings were reunited with their mother.  This happened in the jurisdiction of the 122nd Precinct:

On Friday, Engine 151 offered a helping hand to eight ducklings that fell through a grate into a storm drain on Staten Island.
A civilian reported the mishap to Firefighters who used a portable ladder to reach them.
Happily, all of the ducklings were reunited with their mother!
Earlier this month, on June 1st, at the Police Academy, the officers were called upon once again to save ducklings from a storm drain on the academy property.
Post from the 123rd Precinct May 25, 2019:
Today your 123rd precinct and ESU truck 5 saved 8 baby ducklings after they fell into a sewer grade on Holdridge Ave! The ducklings were returned safety to their mother in a nearby pond. Great job!
