Staten Island Sunrise Day Camp: ShopRite Donation Helps Kids With Cancer, Their Siblings Enjoy Summer Fun

Editor’s note: Readers may remember our coverage of the recent job fairs hosted across ShopRite stores in Staten Island and New Jersey. 

 

Mannix Family Markets presented a check for $11,500 to The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp, a Staten Island-based program that provides free summer camp experiences for children with cancer and their siblings on Wednesday, June 24 at 12 p.m. at the ShopRite of Evergreen Plaza located at 100 Greaves Lane, Staten Island, NY 10308.

The donation is the result of its annual fundraising campaign, which included customer round-up donations at checkout, raffle basket sales and in-store fundraising events.

Now in its seventh year, the partnership has raised more than $65,000 to support Sunrise Day Camp.

Mannix Family Markets, owners and operators of four ShopRite stores in the borough, present a check for $11,500 to The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp on Staten Island, which provides services and support to children with cancer and their siblings. Now in its seventh year, the annual store-based fundraiser has generated more than $65,000 to support Sunrise Day Camp. This year’s fundraising efforts, which ran from May 10 through May 30, included customer round-up donations at checkout, raffle basket sales and in-store events led by dedicated associates and supported by generous customers.
