Motorcycle Safety School Invites the Public to “Ride a Motorcycle…For Free!” at College of Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, NY — Ever wondered what it’s like to ride a motorcycle? Motorcycle Safety School is giving Staten Islanders a chance to experience the thrill of their first ride—completely free.
On Saturday, October 17th, 2026, (2pm-5pm) Motorcycle Safety School will host its “Ride a Motorcycle…For Free!” event at the College of Staten Island. This free, 30-minute introductory experience offers beginners a supportive, hands-on opportunity to learn the basics of motorcycle operation in a controlled, low-pressure environment.
Designed specifically for first-time riders, the event requires no prior motorcycle experience. MSS provides motorcycles along with essential gear, including helmets and gloves. Professional instructors will guide participants step-by-step through basic controls—getting new riders in motion with confidence.
“This event is designed for anyone who has always been curious about motorcycling but never had the right environment, bike, or instruction to try it,” said Ed McGarry, Site Manager at Motorcycle Safety School. “It’s a fun, welcoming way to experience riding under expert guidance.”
The event is open to the public. Because spots are limited, advance registration is strongly encouraged.
