Attention All Staten Islanders! NYC DOT Seeking Input About Transportation Priorities In Your Community – Submit Your Comments Here

Share

The NYC Department of Transportation is hosting a meeting to discuss the priorities of the community regarding transportation. This is a Community Forum, and we will be bringing the ideas of members of the Staten Island community before the DOT.

Please share below any items you would like to contribute to the forum.  This will be occurring on January 24, 2024 (date to be confirmed), so all comments must be received by then.

Examples of areas that the DOT can change or make improvements to include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Bike Lane construction

-Traffic “calming” methods including pedestrian islands and other techniques

-Bus service suggestions, which could include ideas for new stops, schedule changes to improve the reliability of using the bus, and bus lane construction

-Road changes or additions, including lane widening, sidewalk construction, pedestrian barriers, etc

-Street redesigns to improve traffic flow, pedestrian safety, or both

This is by no means a complete list, and all suggestions related to transportation are welcome. As long as it relates to transportation, whether pedestrian, bus, train, or vehicle, it can be discussed at the forum.

We look forward to reviewing your contributions.
