Editor’s note: We also covered the Spring Fling event by ArchCare a couple of years back. Cardinal Dolan spoke at the recent annual gala hosted by ArchCare. Eger Healthcare is hosting a spectacular “Senior Prom” tomorrow from 1-2pm for our residents of Eger Health Care and Eger Harbor House. The theme is “MASQUERADE BALL”. We are having students from IS 51 assist and they will be bringing along a DJ and photo booth. We were so blessed to have volunteers from the Paul Mitchell School in New Dorp coming in the morning to do make-up and hair. Our residents, staff and families are very excited. There will be refreshments and appetizers as well as a DJ w/dancing, photos, A Prom King & Queen, raffle baskets, and everyone will be “dressed to impress”. Some of our vendors as well as IS51 and other senior organizations on Staten Island have donated decorations, favors, centerpieces, etc. It is a true intergenerational event.
The Eger Team provided the following information about this event:
- Lifestyles for the Disabled donated all the decorations and assisted throughout the event
- IS 51 students danced and mingled with the residents. They also worked the photo booth and donated 8 baskets to raffle.
- Paul Mitchell School on New Dorp Lane sent 9 students to do hair and makeup for 40 residents.
- DJ Music 2 the Max donated their time and a photobooth, bringing the prom to life.
- Morrison Living assisted in dressing the residents with Masquerade theme props and provided party favors.
- Sunrise Living donated gift baskets for the Prom King and Prom Queen
