Editor’s note: We also covered the Spring Fling event by ArchCare a couple of years backCardinal Dolan spoke at the recent annual gala hosted by ArchCare. They also recently opened the PACE Senior Center in Harlem with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  Below is a video taken by our photographer, Sean Fitzpatrick.  See below for additional info provided about the event by ArchCare at Eger Healthcare Center:

Eger Healthcare is hosting a spectacular “Senior Prom” tomorrow from 1-2pm for our residents of Eger Health Care and Eger Harbor House. The theme is “MASQUERADE BALL”. We are having students from IS 51 assist and they will be bringing along a DJ and photo booth.  We were so blessed to have volunteers from the Paul Mitchell School in New Dorp coming in the morning to do make-up and hair.  Our residents, staff and families are very excited.  There will be refreshments and appetizers as well as a DJ w/dancing, photos, A Prom King & Queen, raffle baskets, and everyone will be “dressed to impress”.   Some of our vendors as well as IS51 and other senior organizations on Staten Island have donated decorations, favors, centerpieces, etc.  It is a true intergenerational event.

The Eger Team provided the following information about this event:

From Gail Gerard, resident, “Our Team that hosted the prom was one of a kind.  Our first prom was amazing.”

“It was a dream that became a reality. Every detail, every idea was so well thought out and it came to life for the residents, guests and staff,  Everyone had such an amazing time.” – Kristen Ortado, Administrator
