Editor’s note: We recently covered the City of Water celebration at the National Lighthouse Museum last weekend. This event is tonight, and there is a participation cost of $75 per person. Guests will be joined by a naturalist and a lifeguard and will Kayak together while on the river. NLM previously hosted a boat tour during the full moon on the Hudson River during which a discussion of the history of the waterway was presented by a local historian. There was also a 9/11 Newark Bay History tour back in 2023. Staten Island’s ferries are being tested for an upgrad to cleaner, renewable diesel fuel instead of the petroleum based fuel they currently use.
