Coming To Staten Island, New Jersey ShopRite Locations: Free Family-Friendly Soccer Events

Editor’s note: Readers may remember our coverage of the Mayor’s soccer event for local schools, where he participated in a friendly match with the local students.  Everyone in NYC is excited for the FIFA World Cup soccer event, and there are many fan engagement activities planned, including those funded by several grants awarded by the Association for a Better New York.  These included two Staten Island non-profit organizations. We also covered their discussion of the importance of improving the processing of payments by the city for non-profits, where four months is considered a short amount of time to get paid in, and non-profits are forced to carry a lot of debt in order to cover the payments that are forthcoming, albeit over a very long time, for their services.  After all, employees MUST be paid, by law, every two weeks or possibly more frequently.  

 

ShopRite is launching a 23‑stop “We Kick It Here” fan tour through July 19 – bringing free, family‑friendly soccer events (games, face painting, personalized trading cards, giveaways, sampling) to store parking lots across NJ and PA. First stops hit Rochelle Park, Little Falls, and West Caldwell this weekend with additional events planned across NY, NJ, NY, PA, MD and DE.

 

 

 

ShopRite Launches “We Kick It Here Tour” Ahead of Summer Soccer Season

Experiential Fan Tour to Bring Soccer-Themed Events, Giveaways and Interactive Activities to 23 Store Locations Across the Northeast

 

Keasbey, NJ — ShopRite is kicking off the summer soccer season with the launch of the We Kick It Here Tour, a family-friendly series of events bringing fan-focused celebrations to 23 ShopRite stores across the Northeast.

Timed to coincide with excitement around international soccer matches taking place in the Northeast, the tour is designed to engage soccer fans and includes communities surrounding stadiums in East Rutherford and Philadelphia, where the much-anticipated games will take place.

Beginning Friday, June 5 and running through July 19, the We Kick It Here Tour will transform parking lots at the participating ShopRite stores into interactive soccer fan zones featuring product sampling and giveaways, digital experiences including face painting and personalized trading cards, and more soccer-themed fun designed to celebrate fan culture and community spirit.

“Soccer fans are gearing up for an unforgettable summer, and ShopRite is excited to help bring that energy to life with fun, family-friendly events close to home,” said Francisco Alberto, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Wakefern Food Corp., the retailer-owned supermarket cooperative whose member families own and operate ShopRite stores. “Our We Kick It Here Tour is all about bringing people together — celebrating the spirit of the game while creating memorable moments for customers and the communities our stores proudly serve.”

Participating brand partners include Unilever, Chobani, Ferrero, General Mills, Kraft Heinz, Procter & Gamble, Tastiez, Chips Ahoy, Kellanova, Haleon, ICEE, Mission Foods, Coca-Cola, Apple & Eve, Solo Foods and Avocados from Peru, all of which will help power onsite activations and sampling opportunities throughout the tour.

Tour stops will take place on select Thursdays through Sundays at participating ShopRite stores, including locations in Rochelle Park, Little Falls, West Caldwell, Mt. Laurel, Philadelphia, Yardley, Carteret, Wallington, Morristown, Kearny and more. The tour kicks off this weekend with events Friday at the ShopRite of Rochelle Park, Saturday at the ShopRite of Little Falls, and Sunday at the ShopRite of West Caldwell.
