More Food Pantry Donations To Support Staten Island Families In Need This Holiday Season
Editor’s note: ShopRite Supermarkets and other Mannix Family supermarkets have become well-known for their assistance to the low-income and food-insecure families in the communities where their stores reside. They’ve made donations several times already this year, including for Thanksgiving, as such insecurity is rising and predicted to continue to do so.
Reaching out to share, this holiday season, Mannix Family Supermarkets is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to fighting food insecurity in Staten Island. They are donating more than 1,000 frozen turkeys to local food pantries and community organizations, helping families in need enjoy a traditional holiday meal.

Holiday Initiative Expands the Mannix Family’s Longstanding Efforts to Support the Community
Staten Island, NY – Continuing its long-standing commitment to fighting food insecurity across Staten Island, the Mannix Family is donating more than 1,000 frozen turkeys to local food pantries and community organizations. The donation aims to provide additional support to families in need throughout the holiday season.
The frozen turkeys were distributed to Project Hospitality, the JCC of Staten Island, Reach Out & Touch Ministries, Uncle Chase Foundation, South Shore Community Food Pantry, St. Edward Food Pantry, Community Health Action of Staten Island, and New Direction Services, helping ensure that more families can enjoy a traditional holiday meal.
“Supporting our community is central to who we are as a family-owned business in the community,” said Tim Mannix, a second-generation grocer and vice president of Mannix Family Markets. “No family should go without a holiday meal, and we are proud to partner with these incredible organizations to help bring comfort and nourishment to Staten Islanders who need it most.”
This contribution comes on the heels of the Mannix Family’s 18th Annual Thanksgiving Donation, during which they provided more than $25,000 in ShopRite gift cards to Staten Island–based organizations to support families during Thanksgiving. The additional turkey donation reinforces the family’s ongoing dedication to serving the community throughout the holiday season.
