Sanders, Scott To Announce Legislation to Raise Minimum Wage

WASHINGTON, – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and Rep. Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-Va.), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, today at 3:30 p.m. ET will be joined by workers, employers, and House leadership to unveil the Raise the Wage Act of 2023. The legislation would raise the minimum wage to $17 by 2028 and give approximately 28 million Americans a long-overdue raise.
