We Belong Here’s Wraps Central Park & Brooklyn Festivals (Highlights)
We Belong Here wrapped its second New York festival weekend at Wollman Rink in Central Park (Oct 10-12) with an incredible showing of music, energy, and community, despite some tricky weekend weather that tested but never dampened the spirit of the artists or the fans.
Following the success of our debut Brooklyn festival at Greenpoint Waterfront (Oct 3-5), We Belong Here once again transformed NYC space across both boroughs into musical havens with communal energy and global artists.
After sold-out nights featuring Lane 8 and Porter Robinson (DJ set), the team made quick schedule adjustments on Sunday to ensure nearly every artist could perform before the worst of the rain arrived, including a special closing set by Nora En Pure. Fans showed up early, danced through the drizzle, and created an atmosphere that felt unforgettably and uniquely New York.
To thank guests for their flexibility and commitment throughout the weekend, We Belong Here hosted an Official Appreciation Afterparty at Musica, featuring a special Neil Frances DJ set and another Klingande set, allowing attendees to keep the weekend going and end the NYC run on a high note.
Both the Central Park and Brooklyn weekends created hundreds of local jobs, supported neighborhood vendors like Smorgasburg partners and NYC favorites, and continued We Belong Here’s partnership with Scratch DJ Academy, funding music education scholarships for emerging New York artists.
From 360° stage moments to fans dancing through the rain, this New York run was proof that the city’s love of dance music and its resilience runs deep.
