Staten Island’s Lighthouse Museum Hosts Signals Across The Harbor On City Of Water Day, July 25th

Build A Better Planet is partnering with the National Lighthouse Museum on City of Water Day!! This will be a free event for Staten Island families with indoor and outdoor activities, including live music on July 25th from 11 am – 5 pm.

City of Water is a day focused on the importance of water. There are events throughout New York and New Jersey. We will have educational events. There will be other groups there like Billion Oyster Project to inform people about our waterways and the environment. There will be children’s activities and live music from 12 noon – 5 pm. Admission to the museum will be free.

City of Water Day 2026 will take place on Saturday, July 25, featuring free, family-friendly events across New York and New Jersey waterfronts.

City of Water Day is a region-wide celebration of waterfront access, climate resilience, and community engagement, organized by the Waterfront Alliance and the New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) in its 19th year. The event spans all five boroughs of New York City, Westchester and Rockland counties, and parts of New Jersey, offering activities on and near rivers, bays, creeks, and canals.
