On The Waterfront: Free Friday Night Films… Taking It To The Streets

For its second year, the National Lighthouse Museum is hosting On The Waterfront: Free Friday Night Films… Taking It To The Streets on the Museum’s plaza and Pier 1. Presented by Dorcas Meyers, CEO of Roc-A-Natural, and Sheldon Lewis.

The film nights are free for everyone and will run every Friday night 5:00pm to 10:00pm from July 8th to July 29th, 2022. Each night will be filled with entertainment, vendors, food, and music set against the backdrop of the famed New York City skyline and magnificent Verrazzano Bridge.

The Vendor Market will showcase a myriad of hand-crafted products, art, and food items from Staten Island and NYC artists, business owners, and chefs. Performances include Morrisania Band on July 8th, American Beauty Band on July 15th, and Chix Appeal on July 29th.

The National Lighthouse Museum will be offering free entry into the museum to all guests for the duration of the evening.

This is a perfect event for friends and family who want to explore a well-kept secret of Staten Island’s scenic waterfront property. It is recommended to bring your own lawn chairs as there is limited seating on the plaza.

On The Waterfront: Free Friday Night Films is sponsored by the Staten Island Black Heritage Society and the Uncle Chase Foundation, as well as Bentson & Company and ICC Commonwealth.
