NYC DOT Announces Expanded “Summer Streets” Program Saturdays In August With Free Events
DOT TO ANNOUNCE “SUMMER STREETS” WILL EXPAND IN MANHATTAN AND NEW ACTIVITIES ON OPEN STREETS CITYWIDE
NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez will be joined by elected officials, advocates, and partners as they announce this year’s historic expansion of the fourteenth Summer Streets celebration.
New Yorkers will once again be able to experience miles of car-free streets and a great roster of fun and free activities along this car-free route on three Saturdays for the first time since 2019.
This year’s dates will be August 6th, 13th, and 20th, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Park Avenue, Lafayette and Centre. DOT will also release a wide array of activities scheduled for Open Streets and Plazas citywide during August.
