PANEL DISCUSSION | “EXPRESS YOURSELF: WHY WRITERS WRITE”
(FESTIVAL NEUE LITERATUR SATELLITE EVENT) AND FRIEDRICH ULFERS PRIZE 2022

The Festival Neue Literatur partners present the 2022 Friedrich Ulfers Prize Award Ceremony and the Festival Neue Literatur satellite event “Express Yourself: Why Writers Write”. In this panel discussion acclaimed German- and English language authors Raphaela Edelbauer, Judith Keller, Nora Krug, and Jenny McPhee will read from their recent work and discuss “Express Yourself: Why Writers Write.” The conversation will be moderated by award-winning German-English literary translator Elisabeth Lauffer.

This event is co-organized by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany New York, the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York, Goethe Institut, Deutsches Haus at New York University and the Austrian Cultural Forum and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service as well as the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
