On this Independence Day, reflect on the (relative) peace and balance we have in the world. Appreciate that we’re still here, and have the time and space to make our country and world a better place for all, more just, more free, and more a place of integrity…integrity divorced from politics!
Whether you’re celebrating in your RV parked for the day by the Hudson, or if you’re atop one of our lush hills on the island, I know you’re thankful for what we do have.
Better people would produce better results. Be your best! Let your fellow Americans and visitors KNOW that we are a land of kindness, people who let others do their thing.
Take it seriously! We have freedom. Don’t try to curtail others’!
Banning books? No way! No bans from the left. No bans from the right.

So, you want your kids to read what many say are racy kids books?
Weird, but your call. It’s a a parental rights issue.
Perhaps segregate these titles in the libraries, and only parents can borrow for kids. Or, they needs a parental content form to access this section, like kids did in the ’80s to be part of “Family Living” classes, a.k.a “sex ed.”
America was an idea. Let it grow.
Don’t ban the Bible. Some want to do this also. That’s ridiculous.
