The full text of his speech is below:
To all proud Americans who wear the uniform of our country, serving our nation here and at home and around the world, happy 4th of July. Each of you is a link in the chain of honor stretching all the way back to those brave patriots who first secured our nation’s blessings for freedom and independence a long time ago. And like every generation that has come before, we owe a debt that we can never repay for the sacrifices you make every day. You’re the solid steel backbone of our country.
You keep our nation a beacon of liberty in the world, and you uphold our most cherished American values. 247 years ago today, our nation was forged in the revolutionary idea that all women and men are created equal. We’re the only nation in the world founded on an idea. It’s our greatest strength.
And this year, as we celebrate our nation’s birthday, we’re also marking the 75th anniversary of desegregation of our military, the 75th anniversary of women’s official integration into the military, and the 50th anniversary of the all-volunteer force. It’s a moment to honor how that centuries-old idea continues to make our nation stronger, more secure, as we proudly draw on the talents of every qualified patriot who raises their hand to serve our nation.
Serving as your commander-in-chief is the greatest honor of my life. And so on this day of joyful celebration, I want to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you for taking up the cause of our great nation as we continue the unending work of forging a more perfect union. And thank you to your families, who stand beside you every step of the way. You truly embody the best of our country. So happy 4th. Enjoy it. You deserve it.

Not my cup o’ tea, politically, but I can get behind what our Commander In Chief says 100%.
Today, let’s just celebrate as one people. No black an white or gay or straight or left or right. Just Americans.
HAPPY 4th!
“cup o’ tea” eh? “Crank” I am getting sick of your bias.
You know Biden is an Irish-American.
And, we all know many Irish people have surnames that have an O at the beginning.
So cut the crap and stop the jokes that aren’t really jokes. On both sides. You people are giving me need for an Excedrin. Being it’s the 4th, I’m going to instead go for something stronger. Irish whiskey, maybe?
Now we just need to keep the clouds away.
Happy 4th, a******!
