Thanksgiving is a week away, and many New York families are struggling to put food on their tables. To help families in need, The Salvation Army is hosting turkey distributions throughout NY, including one in Stapleton on Thursday. The Salvation Army is donating 350 turkeys to Stapleton residents at its Community Center. Please consider attending the donation and/or doing a story on this effort.
  • Where: 15 Broad St, Staten Island, NY
  • When: Thursday, November 16 at 9:00am
The Salvation Army Stapleton Corps officers can also speak to the importance of giving this holiday season and the impact that the organization has on its communities.
This is a turkey distribution where guests will come and get turkeys and Thanksgiving sides (including a frozen pie!). Monday is a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner. Tomorrow there will be turkeys and side dishes given away by the Salvation Army.
However, on Monday, there will be turkey, baked ziti, and lots of Thanksgiving side-dishes available at the sit-down dinner.  Both events are free to attend.
Please note: These are the Stapleton zip codes: 10304, 10305, 10306, 10307, 10308, 10309, 10312! If someone shows up outside of these, TSA will do their best to serve them, and then refer them to the corresponding community center for their appropriate zip code for the future.
