Staten Island, NY – Mannix Shop Rite Stores and Borough President Vito Fossella partnered once again to bring Thanksgiving meals to needy families via local food pantries. The distribution took place this past Thursday, November 16th at Christian Pentecostal Church on Richmond Road.
For the past 16 years, since the Mannix family became the owners of Staten Island Shop Rite franchises, Mannix Shop Rite stores have made donations to families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday season.
This year, Shop Rite donated $6,000 in gift cards, which equated to 400 gift cards delivered to various community organizations. The participating organizations were selected by the Borough President and Shop Rite and are certified as food banks.
Borough President Fossella was joined by Timothy Mannix, owner of Mannix Shop Rite Stores.
We would like to thank the Mannix family for helping to provide meals to needy families for this Thanksgiving.
