Staten Islander Exclusive
Urban Hope NYC is a nonprofit focused on helping our precious low-income communities on Staten Island, NYC.
We were established in 2010, but our president and Founder, Dave Beidel, has been serving the communities of Staten Island for over 33 years.
This Thursday from 5 pm to 8 pm, we will have a wonderful Christmas wonderland at the Gerald Carter Center in Stapleton NYCHA houses –   230 Broad St, Staten Island, NY 10304. It’s a completely free Christmas event to celebrate the local residents of Stapleton. As you know, the local community has had a rather tough time with crime and violence this year.

With our many partners, we are bringing a spirit of joy; joy to the world, so to speak. Every child will receive toys as well. There will be clothes, books, shoes, diapers, and much much more. A smorgasbord of resources the community might need.

We want the children to celebrate. We want the hard-working parents and guardians to be celebrated. And what better than to do a Christmas Wonderland with blowups, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and live music, just for starters.

The Stapleton community is a beautiful group of people who must be celebrated and praised for their steadfastness in these challenging times.
*This organization is hosting a second giveaway event Saturday from 5-8pm at the Park Hill Houses

Urban Hope NYC

No sheep without a shepherd Imagine for a second that every person in NYC is connected to a church family that prays and cares for them. In recent years suicide has increased by over 70% in the USA. Loneliness is one of the primary reasons. That is heartbreaking. Most of those beautiful souls believed no one cared whether they lived or died. We can end the epidemic of loneliness by adopting our neighborhoods. We are actively mobilizing 2000 churches to adopt 1-2000 homes surrounding them; so that there would be "no sheep without a shepherd, in our city of 10 million and "the Lamb for sinner's slain might receive the reward for His suffering."
