Bayonne Announces Summer Sounds By The Bay’s Return For 2024 Season Featuring Ultimate Elvis Performance, Eagles Tribute Band, Journey And More – Free Concert Series

Bayonne Division of Recreation Announces the 2024 Summer Sounds by the Bay Concert Series

Editor’s note: Staten Islander News has previously covered the Summer Sounds by the Bay Concert Series in Bayonne last year and the previous year as well.  

The Bayonne Division of Recreation has announced the 2024 Summer Sounds by the Bay Concert Series.  Weather permitting, each performance will begin promptly on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm and held at the amphitheater on the lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park, which is located between Avenue A and Newark Bay. 

The concerts are scheduled for Wednesdays from June 26 through August 21, with August 28 as a rain date. 

Pete Amadeo, Superintendent of Recreation, said, “For over thirty years, the Summer Sounds by the Bay has been a town favorite in the park during the summer. It provides great music in a great setting.” Amadeo continued, “We are ready for a great summer.  We have a great lineup of music, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone enjoying the summer nights.”


        June 26 – AM GOLD YACHT ROCK:  They are the best tribute band performing adult-contemporary hit songs from the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s. Artists covered include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, Lionel Richie, and many more! Coming at you hard and ready to get the party started!


        July 10 – The Ultimate Elvis Performance with Richie Santa!  In the last 12 years, Richie has performed over 900 shows as an Elvis Tribute Artist focusing on the Vegas concert years. The love and respect Richie has for Elvis is evident in all his performances!


        July 17 – Winslow – Eagles Tribute Band: Winslow Tribute Band celebrates the iconic American Band, The Eagles. This powerhouse ensemble recreates the live performance of The Eagles and the signature sound that made them one of the most successful artists in the 70’s. A passion for detail, Winslow ‘s multi-lead vocalists authentically capture the soaring 5-part harmonies, precise instrumentation, and stage showmanship as they perform The Eagles music catalog.


        July 24 – Doobie Others:  It is an excellent tribute to Rock n’ Roll’s all-time Superstars, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS! Playing the hits that you all want to hear “Long Train Running” Takin’ It to The Streets,” and so much more.  This will be an evening you will never forget! Come Hang Out and enjoy, “THE DOOBIE OTHERS.”

       July 31 – Journey Separate Ways:  Have you ever wished you could have the authentic Journey experience in the days of the masterful voice of Steve Perry and the supreme musicianship and chemistry of Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and Steve Smith? Separate Ways The Band, the Ultimate Tribute to the music of Journey, truly defies description, featuring five amazing musicians recreating the music of Journey.


      August 7 – Saints in the City:  Saints In The City is not just a tribute band; it’s a passionate and authentic celebration of the music and spirit of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. With a dedicated group of musicians and a front man who channels the energy and charisma of “The Boss” himself, The Saints recreate the classic Springsteen concert experience for fans old and new.


      August 14 – Jukebox Heroes – Mahoney Brothers:  “THE WORLD’S GREATEST MUSICAL IMPERSONATION SHOW!” They cover: NEIL DIAMOND * WILLIE NELSON * THE BEACH BOYS * THE BEATLES * BILLY JOEL * BUDDY HOLLY * THE EAGLES * THE BEE GEES * THE EVERLY BROTHERS * RICK NELSON * JERRY LEE LEWIS * ROY ORBISON & MORE!

      August 21– Super Trans AM: Super Trans Am is a unique and innovative theme band, playing all of your favorite arena anthems and chart-topping radio hits of the 1970’s. Combining unparalleled musicianship with artistic and inspired A/V production, you’ll enjoy revisiting classic singalongs from one of the most definable decades in American history.


        August 28 – This will be a rain date, if needed.
