Tami Lin-Moges Appointed Director of Nature Conservancy’s New York Cities Program

We’re writing to share that Tami Lin-Moges has been appointed the Director of The Nature Conservancy’s Cities Program in New York.

Lin-Moges will lead Future Forest NYC, The Nature Conservancy’s program to equitably grow and care for the New York City Urban Forest. Representing the Conservancy as a convening member of Forest for All NYC, she will continue to work closely with the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Equity, shaping the forthcoming Urban Forest Plan — the first-ever comprehensive, citywide plan for the New York City urban forest.

She is an expert on New York City politics in regards to the environment and nature based solutions; the physical, emotional, and economic benefits of urban forests; and on how climate change touches down on dense urban spaces.

Lin-Moges was most recently Interim Director of the Cities Program. Prior to that, she spent five years as the Deputy Director. Before that, she held influential roles within the New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Energy and provided infrastructure finance and public-private partnerships guidance for government clients at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. Tami earned a B.A. in Geography and a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and holds a M.A. in Public Administration from Columbia University.
