Staten Island Celebrates 4/20 Cannabis Celebration Day With Events At The Flowery, High Stone (Legal Dispensaries)

The event at The Flowery was covered prior to the date of the event, while the High Stone event was already sold out before the day had arrived.  The video slideshow, below, was also added to the other story.  Check out photos from the Jadakiss, Nems, and Funk Flex performance, along with photos from the outside event at The Flowery, where they set up outdoor skating. 

Here is some information about Skate to Elevate, who set up the skating area at the event on Friday, from Sean Fitzpatrick, our photographer for the photos in the video and all photos in this article: 

Skate to Elevate is a group of skaters that try to support marginalized communities; they also offer to teach kids how to skate for free. For years they’ve been trying to get a new skate park on the island. They have an active petition for it. With hundreds of signatures. The Flowery in their parking lot set up a whole space for them to skate during their 420 celebration. Them being there definitely brought some liveliness to the first day.

The second event, on Saturday the 19th (likely due to the holiday on the 20th), was presented by the High Stone Dispensary on Clove Road.  Here is the info from their announcement:
