This film was viewed, and the review is the following:

The film Something Beautiful, accompanying the release of the album of the same name, takes the viewer on a journey through various aspects and representations of beauty as it pertains to the music on the album and Miley’s vision for the ultimate cinematic journey through fashion, film and effects, and her music.  It is also a compilation of music videos for each of the songs on the new album, which was released on May 30th.  Interspersed with the musical pieces, which all featured Miley in various outfits and costumes, were short vignettes and flashing scenes that Miley or other creative contributors to the film find themselves drawn to.  The outfits themselves are almost all very beautiful, with many different styles of fashion.  These included a green peacock-style short dress, a silver sequined short dress with a long train that trailed behind it in interesting patterns, among others.  Most of the videos feature dancing, with some also featuring short story lines and scenes, additional dancers, and musicians accompanying Miley.  

Miley’s style of music is pure pop, and shares the genre with Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, and Katy Perry, who all have a variety of pop styles. The special film presentation is really quite nice.  The costume that adorns the cover material for this movie is my personal least favorite costume of the whole film, as I much preferred the green peacock style costume and the silver dress. 

Miley Cyrus is very talented, and she has a beautiful voice, with a slight raspiness that is uniquely her own.  This has been her style of music since she first started on her own after her time as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel and in concerts.  Long gone is the blonde hair that wasn’t her own, and her style as a musician and singer has matured as well.  If you enjoy music videos and creative films with a lot of movement and dancing, this is definitely worth the watch.  I found it enjoyable, even though it isn’t my usual type of film to watch.  Readers will enjoy the beautiful colors and the artistic style of dance.”

Something Beautiful, the one-of-a-kind cinematic experience from visionary pop-music icon Miley Cyrus, is coming to theaters for special one-night-only screenings across North America this Thursday, June 12th and internationally June 27th via Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision.
