Rock the Parks: Sounds of Summer Concert Kicks Off July 3rd
Editor’s note: We covered the Sounds of Summer concert series in previous years as well.  Learn about Fourth of July fireworks in Manhattan this year, including where to go to watch.
Staten Island, NY – Borough President Vito Fossella is once again bringing music to some of Staten Island’s most scenic spaces on Thursday nights throughout the summer with his Sounds of Summer Concert Series.
For over 30 years, the Borough President’s Office has hosted local talents for its Summer Concert Series, this year, sponsored in part by Con Edison. Each week from July to late August, Staten Islanders can bring a chair or blanket to enjoy great tunes across our beautiful parks and green spaces.
This year’s concert series will kick off at Turtle Circle, just across from Father Capodanno Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue in Midland Beach, with a patriotic Fourth of July Celebration on Thursday, July 3rd headlined by Vinnie Medugno and followed by a fireworks show.
“Summer is the perfect time to come together with family and friends, soak in the warm weather, and enjoy live music in our beautiful parks. Bring a blanket, catch the sunset, and take in the vibrant sounds of Staten Island’s talented local musicians,” Borough President Fossella said. “Thank you to all the musicians joining us this summer — and we look forward to seeing the community come out and sing along.”
