Napoli Art – Two Generations

Editor’s note: We previously covered the exhibition opening of the first-ever fashion designer partnership with the Materials for the Arts artist in residence program, Daveed Baptiste. NYC Health + Hospitals also featured an exhibit of immigrant artwork at the “We Belong Here” art exhibit at their Gotham location. Check back in the next couple of weeks for more photos and video from the two openings.

This exhibit features two of Staten Island’s premier and award winning watercolor artists. Donna Napoli is presenting her late father Augie Napoli’s artwork for the first time in over 30 years, along with hers. Featured are many of Staten Island’s very own & beloved subjects such as: The Staten Island Ferry, Snug Harbor, the NY waterfront, indigenous sealife, sculpture, along with many historical, landmark & familiar local establishments. A true love letter to this unique borough.

With the assistance of Our Island, we can make this very important exhibit a success. Supporting local artist helps the S.I. art community thrive. There will be a “soft opening” tomorrow, Wed 7/16 from 12-5pm. We would love for you to attend.

“Napoli Art – Two Generations” will run from
7/16 – 8/10 Wed-Sun 12-5 with an opening reception Saturday, July 19th 5-7pm at Empire Outlets
55 Richmond Terrace
(next to Shake Shack)
