Staten Island’s Newest Department Store Addition: TJ Maxx At The Mall Grand Opening

NEW STORE OFFERS BRAND NAME AND DESIGNER FASHION AT AMAZING PRICES 

Editor’s note: TJ Maxx, which was founded as a brand in 1977, has a long history on the island.  With three locations since the 1990s, including their flagship store on Forest Avenue, in Forest Avenue Shoppers Town,  TJ Maxx has been a fixture in the community.  The Forest Avenue location recently underwent renovations, partitioning their cash register area with a neighboring store, moving the Kid City to this side of the shopping plaza. There are always lines outside the doors when they open up on the weekends, with many loyal local patrons regularly visiting. This new location will take the place of the longstanding Hylan Blvd location, making their store more accessible to a larger number of Islanders. The mall is more central to the island, and makes the store more convenient than the Hylan Blvd area, which can be out of the way for some residents.  This location will be where the Container Store (a store that just sold boxes, bins, and storage related items)  formerly was.  There is no entrance inside the actual mall, as the store is accessed from outside.
