Staten Island Kids: Free Summer Meals Truck Program Available At Clove Lakes Park Until September 4th, Breakfast, Lunch
Editor’s note: We reported on the food truck’s arrival to Staten Island last year, for the first time including our residents among the other boroughs who already receive a food truck to meet their kids summer meals needs.

Even when school is out, you can still enjoy free breakfast and lunch(Open external link)! Our 2026 Free Summer Meals Program is here for you all across New York City, and it’s totally free for anyone who’s 18 years old or younger. You can find these meals at specific places like select NYC Public Schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries. And guess what? You don’t need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals. Just head to one of our spots and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Have a great summer filled with good food and fun!

Free Summer Meals
June 29 – September 4, 2026
New York City Department of Education’s Free Summer Meals program is designed to provide children and young adults with a healthy alternative to junk food. The Free Summer Meals program provides free breakfast and lunch at schools, parks, pools, libraries, and food trucks in all five boroughs.
Breakfast and lunch are available for all children ages 18 and younger and all people with disabilities, regardless of age, who participate in special education programs.
** No identification or application is required **
Meals are free and provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Office of Food & Nutrition Services, a part of the New York City Department of Education.

H.E.A.L.T.H. for Youth, Inc, along with Asm. Pirozzolo, celebrated the arrival of Staten Island’s only free summer meal truck location at Clove Lakes Park, which started August 15th:
