7th Annual Polonia 5K Run/Walk Takes Place Sunday In Linden, New Jersey

NEW JERSEY – Hundreds of runners and walkers are expected to come together in Linden, NJ, on Sunday , May 22, 2022, for the 7th annual Polonia 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness and educate the public about the American Olympic Committee. The race will start at Public School No. 1, located at 720 N. Wood Avenue in Linden.

In its 7th year , the Polonia 5K Run/Walk event was created by the Polish American Sports Association (PASA) to raise awareness about athletic development and international efforts to participate in the Olympic Games and provide education and support to individuals that want to become Olympians.

Additionally , this year’s Polonia 5K Run/Walk is dedicated to Jacob D. Krygowski, a former competitor in the race who passed away suddenly in 2021.

This event is open to the public, and all are welcome to participate. The cost is $35, with discounts for students with a valid ID and kids 8 years and under. Same-day registration will be available for an additional $10 and begin at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022. The Dash Around the Block for kids 8 and under will kick off at 9:30 a.m., and the 5K will follow at 10:00 a.m.
