Bayonne Hometown Fair Planned For This Weekend Along Broadway From 21st-26th Streets

Bayonne Hometown Fair Set for Saturday, June 4, 11am-8pm, and Sunday, June 5, 12pm-5pm

Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the 2022 Bayonne Hometown Fair will take place on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5. This will be the sixth fair in its current format. The event did not take place in 2020 or 2021, due to the Coronavirus. On Saturday, the fair’s hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Sunday, the fair’s hours will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. The fair will be located along Broadway, from 21^st Street to 26^th Street.

The 2022 fair will feature food, games, rides, vendors, and musical entertainment. Mayor Davis said, “We are happy to welcome back the Bayonne Hometown Fair after a two-year hiatus. Local organizations, businesses, entertainers, and volunteers are working to make sure that this year’s fair is a great event. We can all look forward to the 2022 Hometown Fair.”

The Hometown Fair Association is the organizer of the event.

Amusements will include a mechanical rides between 25^th and 26^th Streets, and inflatable rides between 21^st and 22^nd Streets. There will be a charge for the mechanical rides. The inflatable rides will be free, and will be sponsored by the Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ).

The main stage for the fair will be set up on West 23^rd Street by DelMonte Drive. A second performance space, the community stage, will be set up on the East side of Broadway between 22^nd and 23^rd Streets. A variety of musicians and other entertainers will perform at both stages.

Vendors and organizations will take part in the fair, with tables along Broadway from 22nd^st Street to 25^th Street. The tables will feature food, merchandise, information about community organizations, and give-aways of various promotional items.

The Hometown Fair Association would like to thank the fair’s numerous sponsors for their support. The generosity of the sponsors makes the fair possible.

There is no rain date for the fair. In the event of rain, every effort will be made to continue or resume the fair on the scheduled days, as circumstances may permit.
