Staten Islander News Organization sat down with Zack Hodgson, Emergency Services Director at Salvation Army GNY. 

 

Zack answered questions about the annual Don’t Walk By event that occurred on Saturday, February 18th.

This event is looked forward to by all the volunteers and staff members involved.

The purpose of the event is to make a connection with those living on the streets.  These people are provided with fresh socks, along with other essential items, and are invited to a hot lunch at the church.  Learn more about the importance of this event and what they offer to these New Yorkers on this day and year-round.
