San Giuseppe Cigar Company Hosts Wild Game Dinner With Elegant Cigars At Patrizia’s In Hicksville
Wild Game Dinner With Elegant Cigars Brought To You by The San Giuseppe Cigar Company
From the boar laying on the table after the kill was enough to draw anyone with a curious nerve in their veins. It was the set up for the wild dinner / wine pairing event hosted by San Giuseppe Cigars at Patrizia’s in Hicksville, Long Island. The event was the brain-child of lifelong hunter and owner of the cigar company, Joe Bonanno who collaborated with Louie, the owner of Patrizia’s to hold this special gathering. The company has been active for close to 3 years and has made a major statement in the cigar world.
Joe, who is the primary owner along with right-hand man Jaysen Messina, has made it his goal to grow the company as much as possible. He was raised in a home where his father groomed him into the game of hunting so he was never a stranger to the sport. Hence, that being so he thought what a great combination to have a rare dinner with his premium cigars. It is also important to note that Joe has been a cigar aficionado all his life.
“My Dad got me into the sport of hunting since I was a young man. I have enjoyed venison with friends and relatives who also hunt so it has always been a part of my life.”
The company has prided itself on creating connections with individuals that would help promote their brand. Presently, they have a partnership with Major League Cigars, golf star John Daly and New York Mets legend Jose Reyes. They have released a special cigar naming it the “John Daly Cigar” and Jose Reyes Home Plate Box that includes 10 Toro Cigars Signed Boxes are Exclusively Numbered (1-500). We also cannot forget the connection with Fergie Jenkins, 91 Hall of Fame pitcher from the Chicago Cubs.
The turnout at the event on February 27th was better than expected even though the winter storm did keep some away. But for Jayseen and Joe for the warriors who showed up along with legendary boxer / actor Vito Antefurmo, it was not important how many came but if the ones who did enjoyed themselves with smiles and full bellies. The menu consisted of such delicacies as elk, venison, and wild boar. Not your normal dinner. To enhance their product Joe connected with cigar manufactures in the Dominican Republic to produce an elite cigar brand. He eventually went ahead to acquire select factories / plantations to create their own blend which is a mix of Dominican and Ecuadorian. They also use a mixture of Pennsylvania and Dominican fillers for flavor.
“Our cigar is different and unique and has been tested with master blending to perfection, we have strong people behind it which separates us from others. The actual cigar, the branding, packaging, and connecting to folks like John Daly and Jose Reyes is what makes us stand out,” added Jaysen.
Based on the success of their first event in 2021 and this last one they plan on making it an annual gathering. As a cigar lover myself, their cigar is top notch with its slick flavor and rich aroma. To keep up with their events and view their cigars just check out their website below.
