NYC Dept Of Cultural Affairs To Announce New Funding For NY Botanical Garden’s State-Of-The-Art Operations Center, Other Capital Projects Across the Bronx
NYC DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES NEW FUNDING FOR THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN’S STATE-OF-THE-ART SITE OPERATIONS CENTER & CULTURAL CAPITAL PROJECTS ACROSS THE BRONX
New York – On Tuesday, August 8 at 11AM, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) Commissioner Laurie Cumbo will join cultural leaders to celebrate new capital funding for Bronx cultural groups included in the City’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget.
The announcement will take place at The New York Botanical Garden, which is receiving capital funding toward the construction of its state-of-the-art Site Operations Center. When complete, the Site Operations Center will be among the first “net-positive energy” facilities in the Bronx, generating more energy than it uses.
Other Bronx-based groups that received funding in this year’s capital budget are the Bronx County Historical Society, Bronx Museum, The Point, Pregones / PRTT Traveling Theater, Wave Hill, and the Bronx Zoo.
