NYC DCA Announces Major Funding For Queens Museum’s New Children’s Museum Space, Other Capital Projects Across Queens

NYC DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES MAJOR FUNDING FOR QUEENS MUSEUM’S NEW CHILDREN’S MUSEUM SPACE & CULTURAL CAPITAL PROJECTS ACROSS QUEENS 

New York – On Tuesday, August 22 at 11AM, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) will join cultural leaders to celebrate new capital funding for Queens cultural groups included in the City’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget.

The announcement will take place at the Queens Museum, which is receiving funding for the construction of a 15,000 square foot children’s museum focused on art and culture within the museum’s existing facility.

Other Queens-based groups that received funding in this year’s capital budget are the Poppenhusen Institute, Flushing Town Hall, Museum of the Moving Image, New York Hall of Science, Queens Botanical Garden, Queens Theatre, UnionDocs, and Edge School of the Arts Dance Legacy.
