Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony To Be Held At Postcards For 22nd Anniversary Tonight, Honoring Brave First Responders At Ground Zero
9/11 Memorial Ceremony to be held at Postcards on the 22nd Anniversary
Staten Island, NY – Borough President Vito Fossella will host the annual Staten Island 9/11 Memorial Ceremony to remember the Staten Islanders we lost 22 years ago. The ceremony will also honor the brave First Responders who gave their lives by heroically toiling in and around Ground Zero in those fateful days, months, and years after that terrible day.
This annual observance will feature the recitation of the names of the Staten Islanders who were lost on 9/11, as well as a reading of the names of the First Responders who have perished since that day due to their work at Ground Zero. A video tribute will honor those we lost.
The annual ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at the Postcards Memorial on the St. George Esplanade on Monday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m.
