From rural farmers to urban consumers, food security profoundly impacts society.

In line with the 2024 HLPF’s focus on SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 17 (Partnerships), this panel addresses existing challenges towards ensuring food security and system resilience for all. It details urgent issues in Africa, focusing on innovative solutions, youth and female empowerment as well as collaborative and inclusive strategies. It also examines new agricultural practices that enhance resilience to climate impacts.

The panel serves as a platform to explore the multifaceted nature of food security and its far-reaching implications on social stability and economic development.
