Staten Island’s Newest Biotech Startup Aims to Revolutionize Aging
Following are questions Staten Islander News asked of the CEO of the company described in the release below that were answered by :
-
How does the product work?
Our product is a novel therapy designed to restore natural hair color at the cellular level. While I can’t share too many technical details at this stage, I can tell you that we focus on utilizing the body’s natural mechanisms rather than relying on traditional topical treatments. It’s a promising area of biotechnology that taps into cell therapy. -
Is the product ready to be brought to market, or is it in the research and development phase?
The product is currently in the advanced research and development phase. We’re working closely with CDMOs (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations) to finalize the form and application of the therapy. -
What is your fundraising goal (the amount you need to make the dream a reality)?
We are initially looking to raise $5 million to create a functional prototype and conduct clinical trials. This will allow us to move toward regulatory approvals and eventual commercialization. -
What are your next steps once you have reached that goal?
Once the goal is met, we will focus on scaling production, completing clinical trials, and preparing for regulatory submissions. From there, we will begin to strategize market entry and commercialization. -
Is this a product for the US market, or for other markets as well?
While the US is our primary target, we see potential in expanding to international markets as the product progresses through various stages of regulatory approval. -
What other products has your company produced in the past?
While this hair color restoration therapy is our first major product, we have other products in mind that target additional aging-related challenges. This therapy represents the beginning of a broader strategy, allowing us to pivot toward other applications in cellular therapies, such as skin rejuvenation, muscle health, and potentially age-related diseases. Our aim is to leverage our decades of experience in product development, bioinformatics, and healthcare to create a suite of solutions that improve quality of life as people age. -
Why have you chosen this product in particular to focus on?
We see a significant gap in the market when it comes to addressing natural hair color restoration through innovative and non-toxic methods. This product aligns with our mission to improve quality of life by addressing signs of aging at the cellular level.
The company’s press release follows:
A small but ambitious biotech startup, SempreFit Innovations Inc., is making its mark on Staten Island with a bold mission: to revolutionize how we age. This family-run business is focused on developing innovative therapies designed to slow, reverse, or stop the visible signs of aging—starting with hair color restoration.
SempreFit Innovations is dedicated to improving quality of life through non-toxic, cell-based therapies that target the root causes of aging. Their unique approach promises long-term, natural results without the use of harsh chemicals. The startup is exploring a range of age-related therapies, from reversing gray hair to addressing conditions like muscle atrophy and bone degeneration.
Though small, SempreFit has big ideas and is currently seeking community support through crowdfunding to help bring their first product—a hair color restoration therapy—to market. Inspired by the founder’s personal experience with the emotional challenges of aging, SempreFit’s solutions go beyond cosmetics, aiming to restore confidence and vitality by addressing aging at the cellular level.
“We may be a small startup, but we’re committed to making a big impact on the way people age,” says the founder.
Innovations is proud to call Staten Island home and hopes to position the borough as a center for biotech innovation. To learn more about their work and how to support their mission, visit sempre.fit.
