Conservative Party Of Richmond Recommends That Staten Islanders Vote Column “C” For Conservative Party Nominees, “No” On Ballot Propositions
VOTE COLUMN “C” AND “NO” ON THE BALLOT PROPOSITIONS
Editor’s note: Staten Islander News has reported on the Conservative Party’s recommendations in the past as well. When they were first announced for 2024, as well as their nominees and recommendations in the 2023 election for City Council members and judges.
According to a website about the proposition, it codifies into law the right to abortion, and also expands the number of classes protected under anti-discrimination laws. Following is the full text of the proposition:
Ҥ 11. a. No person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws of this state or any subdivision thereof. No person shall, because of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, creed [or], religion, or sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive healthcare and autonomy, be subjected to any discrimination in [his or her] their civil rights by any other person or by any firm, corporation, or institution, or by the state or any agency or subdivision of the state, pursuant to law.
b. Nothing in this section shall invalidate or prevent the adoption of any law, regulation, program, or practice that is designed to prevent or dismantle discrimination on the basis of a characteristic listed in this section, nor shall any characteristic listed in this section be interpreted to interfere with, limit, or deny the civil rights of any person based upon any other characteristic identified in this section.”
The Conservative Party of Richmond County recommends that Staten Island voters cast their votes in this year’s elections for our nominees, headlined by President Donald J. Trump, on Column “C” of the ballot.
“The Staten Island Conservative Party is proud to have been the first Conservative Party county organization in the state to formally endorse President Trump’s candidacy, and we have never wavered in our continued support for President Trump and the America First agenda,” stated Chairman David Mario Curcio, who had the honor of making the official motion to authorize President Trump’s Conservative Party candidacy at an executive committee meeting of the state party immediately following its presidential nominating convention this past summer.
When personally accepting the New York State Conservative Party’s nomination in 2016, President Trump stated: “It’s not easy to be an unapologetic conservative in one of the most liberal states in America, but your loyalty and commitment to the cause of freedom have paid off with a growing and thriving Party.”
In accepting their nominations earlier this year, the following incumbent legislators, each of whom has the complete and total endorsement of the Staten Island Conservative Party, issued the following remarks:
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis: “I thank the Conservative Party for its continued support as I stand up against the failed policies that have given us high inflation, an open border and more government control of our lives. Whether it’s supporting law enforcement, pushing for secure borders, or getting our economy back on track, I have pushed to restore common sense and sanity in Washington.”
Senator Andrew J. Lanza: “I am honored to embrace the Conservative Party principles, which now more than ever are needed to preserve our constitutional freedoms. I look forward to working with the members of the Conservative Party in the fight to defend individual liberty and restore economic opportunities for all.”
Assemblyman Michael W. Reilly Jr.: “I am proud to accept this endorsement from the Conservative Party of Richmond County, and I humbly thank party members for their support. I will continue to be a staunch advocate for the restoration of public safety and a defender of our individual freedoms.”
Assemblyman Michael Tannousis: “As we continue to fight against the socialist agenda that has brought us increased crime, the migrant crisis, and a diminished quality of life, I am proud to once again carry the Conservative Party banner and fight for conservative values and common sense policies in Albany.”
Assemblyman Sam T. Pirozzolo: “I appreciate the confidence the Conservative Party has put in me to be the standard bearer of conservative values as we work together to take New York State back one district at a time. I won’t let the party down and I won’t let the good people of the 63rd district down.”
The Conservative Party of Richmond County also recommends that voters reject each of the six ballot propositions that will appear on the reverse side of the ballot, especially the statewide Proposition One.
New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar has issued the following statement regarding statewide Proposition One: “This radical proposal was pushed through without any public input and without consultation with Constitutional experts. If it passes, expect a never-ending stream of lawsuits in this state challenging everything from Girls Sports to senior housing to migrant voting. Prop 1 would forever change this state in a way the vast majority of New Yorkers do not want.” For additional details and information, visit www.cpnys.org.
