Mannix Family Supermarkets Donates ShopRite Gift Cards to the Staten Island Community for its 17th Annual Thanksgiving Donation

Editor’s note: Staten Islander News has covered other similar donation events by ShopRite, including their Help Bag Hunger event last month with local politicians.  We also covered their rollout of kiosks for recycling plastic film and other normally not recyclable materials. 

 Mannix Family Supermarkets donated ShopRite gift cards to Staten Island food pantries at the ShopRite of Hylan Plaza, as part of their 17th annual Thanksgiving donation. The pantries will distribute the gift cards to families in need, helping to support the community during the holiday season.

With nearly 34 million Americans suffering food insecurity, ShopRite is focused on helping families in need in the communities its stores serve. Mannix Family Supermarkets hopes the annual Thanksgiving donation takes stress off people’s plates and helps fill them with traditional holiday staples.
