THE 45TH ANNUAL NEW YORK WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION (NYWIFT) MUSE AWARDS

Honoring Pamela Anderson, Marissa Bode, Lisa Cortés, Celia Costas, Amy Entelis, and Versha Sharma
Wednesday, March 26 at Cipriani 42nd Street
Editor’s note: We have previously interviewed attorney Vera Zambrano about the Equal Rights Amendment, which some legal scholars, including those at the American Board Association, believe should be implemented immediately, having passed all legal hurdles to ratification.  Senator Gillibrand, who fought for its ratification, believes that it should be considered the law of the land, as does President Biden, and that women who have suffered from the denial of healthcare should bring lawsuits against those localities where women have been denied care and have suffered injury or death as a result.

For more than 40 years, NYWIFT has presented the Muse Awards to celebrate and illuminate women of outstanding vision and achievement, both in front of and behind the camera in film, television, music, and media. Themed Metamorphosis, the 45th annual NYWIFT Muse Awards celebrates evolution, resilience, and growth in the ever-evolving media and entertainment industry.

This year’s MUSE Award honorees include:

  • Pamela Anderson, Golden Globe and SAG Award-nominated actress and star of The Last Showgirl.
  • Marissa Bode, disability rights activist and star of Wicked, and recipient of NYWIFT’s Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award.
