Malliotakis Announces Incoming Military Service Academy Class

(NEW YORK, NY) – Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) welcomed five of nine students recently granted admission to our nation’s prestigious military academies for this upcoming year. Her U.S. Service Academy Committee, led by Captain David Martin, USCG (Ret.), selected 23 exceptional students for congressional nominations to the four service academies that require them. These students have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, participated in extracurricular activities, shown exemplary character, and distinguished themselves as highly motivated leaders among their peers.

Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to the following four U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY.

United States Naval Academy

  • Andrew Krivenko – Susan Wagner High School
  • Alexa Deng – Millennium Brooklyn High School (NA Prep School)
  • Marcello Signorastri – Msgr. Farrell High School
  • Max Soltsman – Susan Wagner High School
  • Luke Roberts – Moore Catholic High School (enlisted U.S. Navy to NAPS)
  • Sean Ahern – Msgr. Farrell High School

United States Military Academy

  • Julia Povarchuk – Tottenville High School

United States Merchant Marine Academy

  • Ryan Leonard – Msgr. Farrell High School

United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School

  • Kymani Coggins – Nicotra Early College Charter School
