Editor’s note: We previously covered the endorsements made by the Conservative Party of Richmond during the 2024 presidential election, where they endorsed all of the Republican candidates on the ballot.  Learn the details of the six ballot questions here.  Readers also learned about the importance of every vote, particularly in local races such as the current election.

CONSERVATIVE PARTY OF RICHMOND COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

20 October 2025 / David Mario Curcio, Chairman

The Staten Island Conservative Party recommends voting for our county-endorsed nominees – Councilman David M. Carr and Councilman Frank Morano – in this year’s general election.

In accepting their nominations earlier this year, Council Members Carr and Morano, each of whom has the complete and total endorsement of the Staten Island Conservative Party, stated the following:

Councilman David M. Carr, candidate for re-election in the 50th District (mid-island):  “I am proud once again to receive the endorsement of the Staten Island Conservative Party and to carry their banner into November.  With the momentum of last year’s victories from President on down the ballot, we have an opportunity to restore sanity to City Hall and make New York City great again, and that is what we will do together.”

Councilman Frank Morano, candidate for re-election in the 51st District (south shore):  “I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the Conservative Party of Richmond County, a party with a proud history of standing up for common-sense values, fiscal responsibility, and a love of country.  I am committed to providing the bold, principled leadership we need to steer our city away from the high-tax, ultra-woke policies that have made life harder for everyday New Yorkers.”

The Staten Island Conservative Party has also endorsed the following nominees of the county’s Republican Party:  John Shea, candidate for election to the City Council in the 49th District (north shore); Judge Remy Smith, candidate for election as a Judge of the Civil Court of the City of New York from the county’s First Municipal District (north and west shores); and Judge Matthew Blum, candidate for election as a Justice of the State Supreme Court (countywide).  Each of these candidates has the complete and total endorsement of the Staten Island Conservative Party.

The Staten Island Conservative Party, having made no official endorsements in any of the citywide contests, recommends that voters cast their vote for whichever mayoral candidate they believe has the best chance of defeating the communist nominee of the democrat party.  The Staten Island Conservative Party continues to advocate for Staten Island’s municipal independence from the City of New York and looks forward to working with our local elected officials to advance this effort as our nation celebrates 250 years of its own independence.

The Staten Island Conservative Party further recommends that voters reject all of the citywide ballot propositions that will appear on the reverse side of the ballot by voting “No”.  As in past years, these proposals would all advance the radical agenda that continues to harm the City of New York and its people.  The proposal which would move the year of municipal elections is an especially egregious example of election interference.
