Transatlantic Eclectic Artist Chloe Noble Stepping Up Her Game, Discusses Upcoming Projects
Artist Chloe Noble has found a home in New York but also in France as she explored her talent on a worldwide scale. From the tender age of three years old she has been drawn to the arts, specifically dancing but even more so acting. In the US (west coast, San Francisco, CA) she was taught by dancer and choreographer Anna Halprin and her daughter Daria Halprin. Chloe also ran her own business in France until she met her colleagues Natalia Minasian and Gabrielle Scott via the American Academy of Dramatic Arts that would help her launch her career.
Even though Chloe has been putting most of her focus on acting she has never stopped dancing. Dancing for her as been there as part of wellness and sanity for her. But when it comes to acting it has been her dream to build on it. Chloe has studied in many schools which for her is important to hone her craft.
“I am curious, and I feel like I will never be done learning and being a student of my craft and of other people that use different techniques and approaches. Taking an acting training in France is different than taking an acting training in New York City – or even Los Angeles. Because the industry is different and the skills you need to develop as an actor are not quite the same. I did love to study various approaches and now I feel like I can apply for work in different environments as an artist. I believe it made me more versatile.”
During her journey there are two projects that she was most proud of one was in France where she performed for shows with Marion Corralès (also known in France as Mo Cushle or Le Paon). She enjoyed the fact that they mixed choreographed parts with a sprinkle of improv which was a challenge for her. On the acting side it was a recent miniseries for the Telly Channel, “Monologue Moments” and worked on an independent horror film with director TB Johnson.
As we mentioned she ran her own company in France before she embarked on to the States. She was the co-founder of the company Tamalpa France, the French branch of the Tamalpa Institute, an American school specialized in movement based and expressive art. The work originated by the famous dancer and choreographer Anna Halprin. Their method was called the Halprin Life/Art Process®, which explored creatively of the body as expressed through movement, dance, and imagination. She taught this approach and still practices it in all aspects of her life.
She would bring her business-like mentality and found another company in New York called the Artistic Resonance Collective (ARC). This project was created during the pandemic in the desire to create art in a brand-new way. Chloe and her two colleges Natalia Miniasian and Gabrielle Scott began to create performances together yet physically apart. They used technology as a way to bring them together and create magic.
“It was a very important space for me, the existence of ARC inspired me to stay committed to my artistic soul, to keep following my dream of telling stories and never giving up, even if the world around me is uncertain and chaotic. Then when the restrictions were lift off, ARC became a production company allowing us to be back to the set and filming a couple of shorts movies and performances.”
She has worked on a few film projects like “Menstrual Frames”, “Find Me” and “Further” which is in post-production. She is currently working on her own full-length movie, which is in its infant stages, which she could not offer much about it. It is an exciting project where she is creating a story from her own imagination and sharing something meaningful for her. Chloe has managed to plant not one creative flag but two across oceans.
