College Football Dawgs calls on NCAA & Heisman Trophy Trust to reinstate Reggie Bush

Los Angeles, CA– College Football Dawgs has called upon current NCAA President Charlie Baker and the Heisman Trophy Trust to reinstate the 2005 Heisman Trophy and NCAA statistics to USC’s Hall of Fame running back, Reggie Bush.

The media outlet/fan blog will launch a full national marketing campaign this week, hoping it will ultimately begin the process of returning the 88-year-old award to the City of Angels.

In a statement to the media, the media outlet’s Co-Founders Hunter G. Dworsky & Collin J. Sutrick rationale for the action was as follows:

“The NCAA continues to drag its feet on correcting an action that should have never been taken in the first place. The scandal was a key factor in progressing the NIL timeline.

Now that it’s been approved, it’s time for the NCAA & the Heisman Trophy Trust to meet this moment and not only return Reggie Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy but the 2004 BCS National Championship to USC. We at College Football Dawgs are fans first. Unlike ESPN, 247Sports, Fox, etc., we do not have financial ties or restraint by the NCAA, aka tape over our mouth, therefore we are speaking up for Reggie.”

College Football Dawgs hosted a special podcast show Wednesday evening at 7:30 EST/4:30 PST hosted by Matt Redding with special guests LIVE on YouTube, Facebook & Twitter!

In an open letter to the NCAA, College Football Dawgs Executive Director Matt Redding said, “If every single athlete who accepted money before NIL was caught, are we suddenly going to erase decades of history in the name of a couple of bucks? What makes USC different from the other schools is that they simply got caught. What makes Reggie different from other athletes, is he owned up to it. Ball is in your court, NCAA. Do the right thing.”
