Staten Island DA McMahon Recognizes National Overdose Awareness Day This Morning
Staten Island District Attorney’s Office, NYPD, Survivors, and Local Treatment Providers to Recognize National Overdose Awareness Day; Outline Current State of Overdose Crisis, Treatment and Recovery Options Available, and Efforts Underway to Prosecute Drug-Dealing Networks and Syndicates
On Thursday, August 31st, at 11:00am inside the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office located at 130 Stuyvesant Place, Staten Island, New York 10301, members of the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference alongside the NYPD, local treatment providers, and overdose survivors and families in recognition of National Overdose Awareness Day.
Led by Executive Assistant District Attorney for Investigations Tom Ridges, the press conference will also feature members of our office’s Alternatives to Incarceration Unit as we provide an update on state of the overdose crisis on Staten Island, and what efforts are currently underway in the borough to hold poison peddlers accountable and divert those struggling with addiction into life-saving treatment and recovery programs.

Today, junkies from all over SI celebrated at 1100 AM (the time they wake) with a needleful of Russian roulette death..Heroin.
The DA is right to bring awareness to this. This is the plague of the SI of the 2020’s. Well, that and the Corona virii. All the oldtimers are gone. Not all, but many succumbed.
SUPPORT THE DA EFFORTS
Make it legal to shoot up at the precinct supervised by nurses. Or in hospitals. make it a medical issue. That’s really what it is.
