SIGOP Hosts RNC Watch Party With Asm. Sam Pirozzolo At Patrizia’s Of Brooklyn on Staten Island
The Staten Island GOP hosted a watch party at Fabrizia’s of Brooklyn in Great Kills, on Staten Island Thursday, July 18th.
Asm. Pirozzolo was the featured speaker for the night, and the Republican National Convention was playing on the television in the background while participants were having dinner. The volume was increased after Asm. Pirozzolo spoke, and the focus of the night was to be the speech by Donald Trump as he accepted the Republican Party’s official nomination. Since President Biden left the race the following week, President Trump will now compete against Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency. On the night of the convention, the competitor was to be President Biden.
Asm. Pirozzolo spoke about the Democratic Party’s lack of any good and meaningful policies to counteract some of the events in the political landscape that have been seen in recent years. As discussed in the article by the American Federation of Musicians, there have been some wins such as with regard to workers. However, the biggest issues that most people that night mentioned as being major problems were illegal immigration and inflation. These topped multiple attendees’ lists as the most important issues facing our country today. And these are serious issues.
11.5 million illegal migrants have crossed the border since 2021, and most of them have been bused by the Republican governors in the border states like Texas to cities such as New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. This has led to an unprecedented migrant crisis, with the right to shelter law being interpreted as applying to migrants, and the city of New York contracting with hotels and other locations across the city to house these migrants arriving here in droves. According to the comptroller’s office, there have been about 199,900 asylum seekers since 2022, and there are an estimated 65,000 remaining in the system seeking shelter. This is likely due to the sixty day eviction policy that was enacted by the Mayor’s Office in October of 2023 to try to stem the tide of asylum seekers.
During his speech, he mentioned that the only Staten Island-wide Democrat is District Attorney McMahon. All of the other representatives, including Rep. Malliotakis and State Senator Scarcella-Spanton, are Republicans. Staten Islanders have apparently had enough of the failed Democrat policies that have led to the migrant crisis, the shoplifting crisis (where those who steal in organized criminal networks are not held accountable for their crimes, being released without bail in most instances), the failed implementation of bail reform laws, and runaway inflation. While these policies are not directly linked to or the responsibility of the president, they are a result of a conglomeration of policies that, taken together, don’t make much sense. Asm. Pirozzolo suggests that anyone with friends or family who still vote Democrat should be asked to think about their decisions and choices. Their future choices will have an impact on their immediate situation in many cases.
The most important thing stressed by Asm. Pirozzolo was that voters should participate. Whether that means joining early voting, volunteering as a poll worker, putting up a lawn sign, or volunteering for a local elected official’s campaign, participation in the process is key.
Sam also suggested creating an Election Integrity Team to make sure that the polls are being run properly and voter fraud is held in check. As of now, he says, the Democrat policies have been a disaster in the courts, a disaster on immigration, a disaster on Defund the Police, and just bad news all around.
He believes that now is the time for Staten Island Republicans to shine. You can bring out the vote for elected officials whose values are more in line with your own. But you have to participate. Sitting home and complaining is not useful, and nothing will change if everyone does that. However, if everyone does their part, Asm. Pirozzolo believes that things can be turned around. He, and others at the event, believe that Donald Trump is the best person for the job of president in the next term, and if everyone votes, then he might end up in the White House.
Staten Islander also had exclusive interviews with attendees at the event, who shared their reasons for voting for Trump, their views on violence in politics, their opinions on the most important issues facing our nation today, and what they believe the role of the media is in our country and culture. Check out the video to see their responses.

I’m the first to comment or the first comment they let through? Guys, you wait too long with approving comments. I see they do it in batches. Way too long.
The title says Patrizio’s and the article itself says Fabrizio’s.
HAHA We got the passionate black dude up there I like what the text says.
Life is just like that.
That’s why if we stay within God’s protection we are safe.
Trump may be a loudmouth but apparently it doesn’t offend God.
I love the moment they captured with this.
The words on the screen. The Black Mn raising his fist. Epic.
I would have gone but my wife is not into spending. She just wants deal meals. It gets frustrating. We can afford it.
Anyway, looks like a nice bunch of ladies and gentlemen. Probably was a fun night for all.
Ironic scene. Black man on-screen and everyone on the far left says trump is racist yet all I see are black and peoples of color saying dump Biden. they don’t like they lost CVS and Walmart in their hoods bc the police are told to let it slide endangering officers and everyone so eventually the store loses so much they pull out.
