Stapleton Staten Island: ShopRite Teams Up With Kellogg To Donate $10K To Young Women’s Leadership School Volleyball Team

Editor’s note: We previously covered ShopRite’s annual donation to local food pantries, this time in the form of gift cards, to help local families have a nice Thanksgiving.  They also held a Help Bag Hunger contest which was won by Lt. Esther Mobley of The Salvation Army Stapleton Corps (which recently started a sit-down meal program at their location).  BP Fossella kicked off this year’s Girls Volleyball Tournament on Staten Island

The following statement was provided by ShopRite:

“At Mannix Family Supermarkets, we’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve,” said Tim Mannix, co-owner of Mannix Family Supermarkets. “We’re proud to partner with WK Kellogg Co through the Mission Tiger initiative to help The Young Women’s Leadership School’s volleyball team. We hope this donation helps these young athletes continue to build their skills, confidence and passion for the game.”

WK Kellogg Co, Mannix Family Supermarkets and ShopRite teamed up recently to donate $10,000 to the volleyball team at The Young Women’s Leadership School in Stapleton, Staten Island. The donation was part of the Mission Tiger initiative, which supports middle school sports programs.
