Wong Highlights First Six Months of Partnership With ACE, Delivering More Than 2,000 Hours of Supplemental Cleanup Services Across District 30

Partnership removed more than 35,000 pounds of trash, addressed graffiti, supported snow cleanup, and helped keep local streets and commercial corridors clean

Maspeth, NY — Council Member Phil Wong today highlighted the first six months of his office’s partnership with ACE, which has provided more than 2,000 hours of supplemental street cleaning, graffiti removal, litter removal, emergency cleanup, and snow removal services throughout Council District 30 since January.

ACE crews worked approximately 80 hours each week in the district from January through June, helping address quality-of-life concerns in neighborhoods across Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale, Ridgewood, Elmhurst, and Rego Park.

During the first half of 2026, ACE team members removed more than 35,000 pounds of trash through litter removal, emergency cleanups, and the collection of garbage from corner litter baskets. In January and February, ACE team members assisted with cleanup following five snowstorms and completed three major graffiti-removal projects at local underpasses, along with addressing smaller graffiti locations referred by Council Member Wong’s office.

“I was elected to be a quality-of-life Council Member, because without quality of life, we have nothing,” said Wong. “I am proud to partner with ACE to make sure our district has the supplemental cleanup services it needs. Their team has put in real work on our streets, removing trash, addressing graffiti, helping after snowstorms, and responding when problem areas need attention. I thank ACE and all of our local partners who work alongside our office to help maintain the quality of life our residents deserve.”

The ACE partnership is part of a broader effort by Council Member Wong’s office to support clean, safe, and welcoming commercial corridors and neighborhood streets throughout District 30. The office also partners with the Greater Ridgewood Restoration Corporation, the Myrtle Avenue BID, the Queens Economic Development Corporation, and the Queens Chamber of Commerce on initiatives that support local businesses, improve commercial thoroughfares, remove graffiti, shovel designated areas during winter weather, and address neighborhood cleanup needs.

“Clean streets, well-maintained commercial corridors, and quick responses to graffiti, litter, and snow are not minor issues,” Wong added. “They affect how people feel when they leave their homes, walk their children to school, shop at a local business, or visit a neighborhood park. These partnerships allow us to be more responsive and make a meaningful difference block by block.”
